What we collect
Family accounts manage learner profiles. This beta stores a learner's first name, birth year, placement state, learning responses, mastery evidence, adult-selected learning time, and session data needed to resume learning. Children do not receive public profiles.
Why we use it
Learning records are used to choose instruction, verify retained understanding, show authorized adults progress, recover sessions, and investigate reported teaching problems. They are not used for advertising or unrelated model training.
Adult control
Family codes and PINs are protected, and child sessions are scoped to one learner. An authorized adult can download a learner's information from the learner profile and permanently delete that profile. Records are retained only while needed for the learning service, legal obligations, security, or a specifically disclosed purpose.
Contracted providers process only the information needed for hosting, AI-assisted instruction, email, payment, security, and support. Schools receive controls over assigned education records.
